What to see at Lodge Farm

Beautiful views from a wildlife haven

Rolling countryside Situated on a hill top with views of rolling countryside, fields and forests to all four aspects, it is the ideal location for a 'get away from it all' holiday or short break. The peace and tranquillity that surround the cottages helps you to unwind away from the pressures and stresses of day to day living.

Stone outbuildings which are believed to date back to the eighteenth century have been sympathetically restored and tastefully converted retaining many original features to provide luxury accommodation furnished to a very high standard.

The Good Life

Free range hens Since we moved to Lodge Farm we have been developing our version of the good life.

We are both very keen gardeners, and our target is to develop a haven for wildlife around the farm house. Deer, badgers, and a whole host of beautiful birds are all regular visitors. (Including a family of woodpeckers!)

In addition to our own eggs & honey, we also offer a range of fresh fruit and vegetables from the gardens and orchard. (Subject to season and availability.)

What could be better than freshly collected eggs for breakfast?

Wildlife

Water wildlife area As you have probably gathered by now we are committed to creating a habitat where birds and our local wildlife visitors can thrive. (To date as our commitment to the environment and bio-diversity we have planted over 1,450 new trees and shrubs in and around the gardens.)

What could be better than the introduction of a lake to complete the picture? Over the past 2 years we have created a water wildlife area which is attracting a host of new wildlife, including some spectacular dragon and damsel flies.

Sit out during the day or in the evening watching the sunset over the fileds that surround us, and enjoy the peace and tranquility.

We have placed benches and picnic tables around the lake for your enjoyment.
