Since we moved to Lodge Farm in 2000 we have been developing our own version of "The Good life." We are both very keen gardeners, and our target has always been to develop a haven for wildlife, and a home for sustainable living.

Over the years our quest for healthy living saw the creation of our vegetable and herb gardens, which allow us to provide our guests with the opportunity to order their own seasonal vegetables and salad boxes, enjoying produce straight from the garden.

We are committed to creating a habitat where birds and our local wildlife visitors can thrive.We have created a series of lakes and wetland habitats which are now attracting masses of wildlife into the gardens for us all to enjoy. These range from ducks, geese, reed warblers, deer, badgers, foxes, rabbits and hares…even some spectacular dragon and damsel flies, the list is endless. We've also installed 2 Barn Owl boxes and in the summer watched the young being fed, and have now added 4 hedgehog boxes.

We always have a project on the go and many of our returning guests love to explore and provide us with their ideas on what they would love to see next time.

Stone outbuildings which are believed to date back to the eighteenth century have been sympathetically restored and tastefully converted retaining many original features to provide luxury accommodation furnished to a very high standard.
